Privacy Policy

Your journal entries, prayers, personal psalms, reflections, and saved moments are private to you. They are protected by row-level security so that only your account can read, edit, or delete them. No other user — and no one on our team casually browsing — can see what you write here.

We collect only what's needed to run the app and personalize your experience:

• Account info: your email and the display name you choose.
• Your content: journal entries, prayers, study progress, and anything you save — stored so only you can access it.
• Profile details you choose: bio, location, favorite verse, and social links — all optional and shared only if you choose to share them.
• Basic usage data: anonymous analytics that help us improve the app (e.g., which features are used). This is never tied to your personal reflections.
• Communications: essential account, security, billing, support, and material policy notices, plus optional reminders, encouragement, and product messages you choose to receive. These messages never include your private writing or faith activity.
• Public contact inquiries: the name, reply email, topic, and message you voluntarily send through the public contact form. This information is used only to answer that request and does not subscribe you to marketing.

We keep simple engagement records so we can understand how SelahScribe™ is genuinely used and make it better. Each signed-in visit creates a session record with its start and end time and how long the app was genuinely active — only while the tab is visible and you have interacted recently; a tab left open in the background does not count. We also record what kind of device and browser you use, whether you opened the app from your Home Screen, and — when a link tells us — which site or campaign brought you here. A random ID stored on your device links the anonymous part of your journey to your account only after you register.

We never record the contents of your journal, prayers, Scripture-writing responses, reflections, or AI conversations as analytics — only counts, timings, and pages visited. These records are visible only to the app's administrators, never to other members, and never enter anything that is shared publicly.

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to understand whether advertising brings visitors to SelahScribe™ and leads to a verified registration or purchase. For those conversion events, Meta may receive limited technical information such as the public page URL, browser or device details, IP address, its own cookie identifiers, and a one-way hashed version of the account or purchaser email for matching. Purchase events may include the plan identifier, amount, and currency, but never payment-card or banking details. We do not send Meta the contents of your journal, prayers, Scripture-writing responses, reflections, AI conversations, or private study activity. Meta processes this data under its own privacy terms, and browser privacy settings or content blockers may prevent browser-side tracking from loading.

We use your data to keep your reflections safe, greet you by name, remember your progress, and personalize your experience. We never sell your data, and we do not use the contents of your private prayers or journal to advertise to you.

We may send essential service messages needed to operate or protect your account, including security alerts, purchase receipts, access changes, support replies, and notices of material policy changes. These administrative messages are separate from marketing preferences.

Optional email reminders, encouragement, product updates, push notifications, daily reminder times, and in-app Premium-offer reminders are controlled through Notification Settings. Optional promotional email is sent only when you have enabled product updates. In-app Premium offers may appear periodically to unpaid members until they purchase or turn off Premium offer reminders.

We do not use the contents of your journal, prayers, Scripture-writing responses, reflections, or AI conversations to choose or personalize promotional messages.

Some features use AI to suggest Scripture, prayers, or reflections. AI content is fallible and is never a substitute for Scripture itself, the Holy Spirit, pastoral care, or professional help. Always weigh it against God's Word and seek counsel from a trusted pastor or mature believer. AI suggestions are generated on demand; your private entries are not shared or sold.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication uses secure, short-lived session tokens. Access to production data is tightly restricted and audited. If you ever suspect a privacy issue, please contact SelahScribe™ Support through the app immediately.

We care about your safety. This app is not equipped for emergencies. If you are in crisis or considering harm to yourself or others, please reach out for help now. In the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Outside the US, contact your local emergency services.

By law, in rare and serious situations we may be required to disclose limited information to appropriate authorities or emergency services. This includes:

• A valid legal request or court order compelling disclosure.
• A credible, imminent risk of serious harm to you or to others.
• Suspected abuse or neglect of a minor or a vulnerable adult, where mandatory-reporting laws apply.

These situations are exceptional. Outside of them, your reflections stay private to you.

This app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact SelahScribe™ Support through the app and we will delete it.

You can edit or delete any journal entry, prayer, or saved moment at any time within the app. You can update or clear your profile information whenever you like. Email, push-notification, reminder, and in-app Premium-offer choices can be changed in Notification Settings. To request full deletion of your account and data, contact SelahScribe™ Support through the app and we will process it.

When you share a Scripture to social media, the shared link points to the app so others can discover it. Only the verse and reference you choose to share are included — none of your private reflections are ever shared.

If we update this policy, we'll revise the date above. Material changes may be communicated by an administrative email and/or an in-app notice. Reviewing or acknowledging a notice records that it was received; it does not replace any affirmative consent required by law. Continued use after an effective date means the updated policy applies to that use.
